With the national Miss Collegiate America Pageant being four days away, I wanted to spend some of my prep time, talking with you about the pageant’s national platform. The national platform for the organization is entitled B.R.A.V.E. B.R.A.V.E. is an acronym that stands for, “Building Respect and Values for Everyone.” The goal of this mantra is to create awareness and to promote a bully-free and safe environment. These efforts are in hopes of reducing the effects of bullying and awareness of bullying in schools and communities.
As your Miss Oklahoma Collegiate I have used the platform that I have developed over the years to ensure that I am able to spread this message and touch as many lives as possible. It is my hope to one day make this mission, a household name. During my various appearances I have used my title, and legal background to encourage America to embrace our differences in hopes of limiting the devastating effects that bullying has on our society.
If you would like to stand and limit the effects of bullying here are some of the things that you can do:

If you would like to stand and limit the effects of bullying here are some of the things that you can do:
- Be kind, courteous, friendly, caring, and respectful to others.
- Raise awareness of bullying wherever you go!
- Promote legislation and policies that promote a bully-free and safe environment for children.
- Teach children to go to an adult or someone they trust when they see someone being bullied.
- Teach others to be a standbyer, not a bystander when bullying is happening.
